My Story
My name is Florence Taylor, and I am the founder of The Gift Vox Company. After 4 years (and counting) studying Classical Voice at a prestigious music conservatoire in the United Kingdom, I have gained knowledge and expertise in many areas of the music industry. A few of these things are singing, arranging and video editing - and during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic I realised I could combine the three.
Like many performers, the Spring of this year was an extremely uncertain time for me. I therefore turned to the only thing I knew that could keep me sane - performing! I began sharing daily "Quarantine Concerts" to my followers on social media, and I was met with some overwhelming responses. I realised that in a time when so many people were isolated and alone, listening to familiar songs was a refuge, and my following was growing larger and larger each day.
A natural progression came as I realised that not only were there isolated individuals who were struggling in lockdown - but also couples. Thousands of couples with weddings planned for the summer of 2020 were gradually realising that their dream of their beautiful day was slipping away from them one day of lockdown at a time. I decided that I would do everything I could to help. I started to create bespoke covers of their aisle/first dance songs along with photos of the couple, so they had something to send to their "virtual" wedding day guests. After teaming up with "The Laura Hyde Foundation" (see further down to learn more about their amazing work!) a few months ago - with whom I gave all proceeds of each video to - many devastated Brides and Grooms have been given hope and something (however small) to look forward to on their day. I then decided I would continue the videos but this time broadening my reach under the name of The Gift Vox Co, in order to spread as much joy and connection to many more people during this difficult time.
